Advertisers Can Opt Out of Any Bing Ads Annotation

bing ads opt out annotationsNot happy with how some Bing Ads annotations appear in your Bing ads in the search results?  Or are concerned with ad annotation overload with your ads?  Bing now supports the ability for advertisers to opt out of any of the annotations.

If there are specific annotations you don’t want running for your ads, because you are uncomfortable with it for any reason or because you don’t feel they add any value or enhance your ads or campaign strategy, you just need to either contact you Bing Ads rep/team or contact Bing Ads customer support in order to turn any of them off.

You can find the annotation types here, but not all are included on the list, and there are often annotations that are run on a test basis as well.  It is not clear when Bing Ads began allowing individual opting out, but not even all reps seem to be aware of it.

Previously, Bing Ads advertisers would have to opt out of all the annotations if they didn’t want a particular one used in their ads.  Normally Bing will show various annotations if they feel it improves the quality or the performance of the ads.
