Google has expanded Home Service Ads in two ways – they have added additional locales and they have expanded the professions offered.
First, Google has announced they are expanding their Home Service ads to the city of Sacramento, California. Google initially launched Home Service Ads in the San Francisco area, and this marks their first expansion outside that area. There is no word on when Google might expand these ads beyond California, nor if it is still considered in the testing phase.
Second, Google has extended the professions for Home Service Ads to include both HVAC ad electricians. This expands Home Service Ads to six different professions, which also include cleaners, home repair, plumbers and locksmiths.
While Home Service Ads are only serving a small geographic reason, Google has said they have thousands of businesses adertising through these ads specifically since their launch last year.
